Chester’s Employee Spotlight

August 6, 2012

Our people are special!

Ever wonder who makes your beautiful birthday arrangement? Who grows your spring begonias, fall mums or Christmas poinsettias? Who is responsible for the gorgeous silk designs in our showroom? Or who is that friendly voice you chat with every year when ordering Mother’s Day flowers? We’d bet that a few of you at least have wondered, and in light of that possibility, we are taking the opportunity to introduce you to some of the very talented and dedicated folks in the Chester’s family. We are proud of them and think they deserve a little recognition!

The first candidate in for the Chester’s Hall of Fame is our most tenured employee that isn’t family; she has been with us for over 20 years! A fixture here, Laura Logiudice is one of our most valuable assets and is almost solely responsible for every beautiful silk design in our showroom. So what else can we say about Laura? She’s incredibly talented and creative; our “go to” girl when we are prettySnazzy Sunflowers sure something can’t be done. Laura makes things happen. From the very simple to the complex and high-style, Laura has a real knack for enhancing the beauty of each component of every floral piece that she does. She’s also very dedicated; usually the one on whom we call when arrangements need to be made after our normal operating hours. She can often be found here on a Sunday making last minute funeral pieces. In addition, she keeps our showroom stocked with most of our lovely silk arrangements on display.

Laura’s kind heart shows in everything that she does. She loves animals and is always working on something crafty at home. When we’re all busy and a bit stressed, she can be counted on to have a wise-crack that makes us all smile. We here at Chester’s (especially this author) are very proud and grateful to call her our “friend”. Good job, Laura!

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Laura has become a fast friend to this “Newbie” of the Chester’s crew, and someone that I can be inspired by daily. She has helped tremendously throughout my intense first couple of holidays here at Chester’s and am greatly appreciative of all her support and constructive criticism. Laura is a wonderfully, talented, warm-hearted person, whom I’m proud to have had the opportunity to have met and to be able to call my “friend.”
Laura you are “FABULOUS!!!” ~Keep Smiling & Shinning!~ It looks good on you !
