Did you stop by on our Palm Sunday Open House Weekend, March 19th and 20th? It was packed here! We had lots happening – our ducklings were visiting in our front showroom, along with our flower show from our design staff, and Chetty the Rabbit was in the greenhouse surrounded by all the bright Spring blooms! If you missed out, we took some pictures to recap the weekend.
The Flower Show
Starting off with our flower show, we had three different themed sections. First, Laura and Jamie did some Alice In Wonderland designs, complete with the Mad Hatter’s tea party – and yes, those are hand lettered playing cards hanging from the ceiling:
Jamie drew some great characters for the tea party, and Laura filled tea pots and tea cups with bright daisies, orchids, delphinium and snap dragons.
Looks like we had a little Cheshire cat hanging out!
The Queen of Hearts section included an archway of playing cards, a talking rose bush, and a wreath where Laura “painted the roses red.”
Cathy and Katie created a fun Easter themed flower display, complete with real carrots, and both mini and giant peeps! The girls used lots of spring flowers: daisies, liatrus, snap dragons, sunflowers, bells of Ireland, etc.
Look closely, those are real carrots in the bottom of the vase:
Katie filled tiny Easter eggs with daisies and wax flower, and hung them at different lengths in front of our greenhouse window.
Check out these amazing giant carrots that Cathy created:
Last, Maria’s floral display tackled nature reclaiming. Her arrangements were made using old books, picture frames and furniture. She also painted a design on the back wall to compliment the display. Her flowers included lilies, protea, pink and lavender roses, wax flower, yellow aster, liatrus and lots of sheet moss.
The Greenhouse:
Our greenhouse was looking bright, fragrant and colorful for Palm Sunday. Our staff worked hard getting Easter lilies, hydrangea, hyacinth, azalea and more ready for you to take home to celebrate the Spring and Easter.
And of course, we can’t forget all the entertainment for the kids – our Rabbit “Chetty” was here both Saturday and Sunday to take pictures and visit with your kids. Our ducks visited until Easter Sunday, after which they went to their new home at a local farm.
Thank you
Lastly, we’d like to thank everyone who came in and celebrated with us. We are so thankful for your continued business and support every day!
