Dahlia’s are a great way to create a high end, garden look in a wedding bouquet or centerpiece. They were the perfect focal point for this wedding located at Barne’s Barn in Brookfield, NY this past August.
Our bride and her bridesmaids carried hand-tied bouquets of light pink dahlias, accented with dusty miller, pink wax flower, pink astilbe, and seeded eucalyptus. Each bouquet was wrapped in burlap and pearl head pins.
We also created a swag wreath of fresh flowers that was hung on the archway during the ceremony. It included a selection of flowers seen throughout the wedding.
The groom and each of his groomsmen wore a mixture of accent flowers – astilbe, wax flower, dusty miller and seeded eucalyptus – wrapped with rustic twine.
The mothers wore a similar corsage with mixed accent flowers and an ivory bow.
The cake was topped with light pink dahlias, wax flower and astilbe.
The centerpieces for the evening included hobnail glass jars filled with a garden style arrangement of hydrangea, astilbe, wax flower, dusty miller and seeded eucalyptus.
